- Usage and Drying Times
Both glues follow a similar application and curing process:
- Initial Set: Becomes tacky in about 2–5 minutes and sets in roughly 10–20 minutes.
- Full Cure: Requires 24 to 72 hours to reach maximum bond strength, depending on material and thickness.
- Application Tip: For the best bond, clean and lightly roughen smooth surfaces before applying.
E-6000 vs. B-6000
While both are very similar chemically, their main difference lies in their specific ingredient ratios and slight variations in performance:
- Solids Content: E-6000 typically has a slightly higher solids content (up to 45%) compared to B-6000 (up to 41%).
- Viscosity: B-6000 is often preferred for more delicate work like jewelry and fabric embellishments because it can be slightly thinner than the original industrial E-6000 formula.
